Mr. Deal joined the Freedom Area School District in 2014 as the Principal of Freedom Area High School.  After nearly eight years as principal, he became Freedom's Director of Teaching and Learning.  In this role, Mr. Deal oversees the district's programs relating to curriculum and instruction.  In addition to his role as the Director of Teaching and Learning, Mr. Deal is the district's PIMS Administrator.  

Mr. Deal resides in New Sewickley Township with his wife and two children.  They are proud to be active members of our community.  In addition to his work at Freedom, Mr. Deal is involved in the Scouts BSA Troop 444 and the Unionville United Methodist Church.
